I reached out to four graphics artists on Reedsy, providing them a brief of what I needed. They all came back with similar quotes in terms of money, and what I would get for the money. This somewhat made my life hard.
I’m not creative! Yes, I do photography, but I don’t do anything that needs a creative eye. I’m more a reportage style photographer. I can’t look at a landscape and think, if I do x,y,z then I’ll get a brilliant/moody/atmospheric picture.
What I ended up doing was tracking down the websites of the artists, and trying to find previous work that had the look and feel of what I think would work. Not very scientific, I know, but I had nothing else to go on.
Hopefully, this means by the end of Nov, the image placed beside the Stigma posts will be different.
